Live Webinar : Upright Patient Positioning for Pelvic Radiotherapy Treatment

On Wednesday, March 8th, join Sophie Boisbouvier from Centre Léon Bérard and Jemma Nunn from Leo Cancer Care on their live webinar - 'Upright Patient Positioning for Pelvic Radiotherapy Treatment'.

Time: 3:00 pm (UK), 4 pm (France), 9 am (US Central),

Sophie Boisbouvier has been working as a Radiation Therapist in Centre Léon Bérard, Lyon, France for 15 years and in 2020, Professor Vincent Grégoire gave Sophie the opportunity to work on the research and development project with Leo Cancer Care. Sophie has been involved in several research projects including her own projects on image-guided radiation therapy and patient positioning.

Jemma Nunn worked in the NHS for 9 and a half years clinically as a Therapeutic Radiographer before embarking on her role as Clinical Training Manager at Leo Cancer Care. Jemma’s main focuses at Leo Cancer Care are to lend her clinical experiences to enhance both the patient and radiographer experience in the upright position, utilized most recently by assisting in research projects internally, looking at patient immobilisation in the upright position.

During the webinar, the promising results from Sophie Boisbouvier's recent study where a total of 16 patients with prostate, bladder, rectal, endometrial, or cervix/uterine corpus tumors were set up in the upright position following their supine treatment, will be discussed.

The results from this study are a powerful indication of the benefits of upright radiation therapy which can be viewed in its entirety here - https://www.tipsro.science/article/S2405-6324(22)00048-8/fulltext.
