A partnership in progress: ChabnerXRT joins Leo Cancer Care at ASTRO 2026

We are delighted to welcome our partners, ChabnerXRT, to the Leo Cancer Care booth at ASTRO 2026, where they will showcase the latest evolution of the ChabnerXRT Radiation Treatment Bra.

A partnership supporting upright breast radiotherapy

Leo Cancer Care and ChabnerXRT have worked together for several years, united by a shared interest in exploring how radiotherapy can be delivered differently while continuing to consider the experience of the person receiving treatment.

As a distributor of ChabnerXRT products, our relationship goes beyond bringing complementary technologies together. We have also collaborated on published research investigating the use of the ChabnerXRT Radiation Treatment Bra for breast radiotherapy in the upright position.

As upright radiotherapy continues its transition into the clinical setting, collaborations like this are increasingly important. Establishing new approaches to treatment requires us to consider not only the technology itself, but the practical details of positioning, immobilization, reproducibility, workflow and, importantly, the patient experience.

We greatly value ChabnerXRT’s continued commitment to being part of that journey.

Improving through listening

At ASTRO, ChabnerXRT will introduce a number of enhancements to its Radiation Treatment Bra.

The new design incorporates improvements to the cup design, center and bottom band, side panels, shoulder straps and fastening system. Together, these changes are designed to improve fit, support and stability, make fitting and set-up easier, and support greater reproducibility, while continuing to prioritize patient comfort and dignity.

But for us, the story behind these changes is just as important as the changes themselves.

The improvements have been informed by listening to the people who interact with the product: those who fit and use the garment clinically, and those who wear it during their radiotherapy.

This approach closely aligns with our own philosophy at Leo Cancer Care. As technologies move from concept, through research and into clinical use, there is an enormous amount to learn from the people experiencing them first-hand. Their feedback provides an opportunity to question assumptions, refine designs and develop technology around real clinical and patient needs.

Innovation shouldn’t stop when a product reaches the clinic. In many ways, that is when some of the most valuable learning begins.

We are therefore excited to give the wider radiotherapy community the opportunity to learn more about the latest ChabnerXRT Radiation Treatment Bra at ASTRO.

It will be an opportunity to see the garment first-hand, understand the thinking behind the latest improvements and ask questions directly of the team.

Throughout ASTRO, visitors will also be able to speak with both ChabnerXRT and Leo Cancer Care on booth 519 about our ongoing collaboration, our research into upright breast radiotherapy and the practical considerations involved in bringing upright treatment into the clinical environment.
